The China Academic Journals Future Forum which is sponsored by the China Periodicals Association and four other organizations and CNKI.NET has been held in Beijing. On the forum, the "2016 Annual Report for International Citation for Chinese Academic Journals" and the Lists of the Highest International Impact Academic Journals of China was released. Journal of Public Management has ranked the first in the 198 political journals in China and has been on the Lists of the Highest International Impact Academic Journals of China with its composite impact factor of 3.505, aggregate impact factor of 2.252, and humanities and social science impact factor of 2.084.

Journal of Public Management, an academic journal sponsored by School of Management of HIT, is A level journal authorized by Department of Management Science of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and a source journal of Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI). It covers the research in government administration, public policy analysis, public health administration, social security and other related themes. As for research methodology, it focuses on empirical research based on facts by emphasizing applicability and practical value under the national condition of China. These concerns have been agreed on by Chinese scholars in public management, by which the journal earns its fame of a high quality academic journal of China in the field of management.
