On December 5th, the official Weibo of China Daily reported the deed that the HIT volunteers took the wedding photos for the veterans for free with The Aged Veterans Own the First Wedding Photo as the title. Just in two hours, 170,000 net friends had read, re-posted and clicked like. Subsequently, the media, such as Xinhua Net, Guangming Wang, China Youth Network, Tencent and so on re-posted.
To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March and inherit the great spirit of it, the HIT Youth Volunteer Association organized the large-scaled volunteer activity with Such Loyal Love---Taking Photos for the Veterans in the Military Uniform and the Wedding Costume as the theme before the arrival of the International Volunteer Day. The volunteers were divided into several groups to take the military uniform photos for many veterans. They took the wedding photos for Hou Haiqing couple and Wang Weigeng couple, making up for the regret that the couples had no wedding in the war times. Volunteers said that they listened closely to the war stories from the veterans and further enhanced the patriotic spirit through this volunteer service activity. In the future, they will take concrete actions to practice the socialist core values, transfer the positive energy to more people and keep the way of realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of China with full responsibility and confidence.
