The First "Impression HIT - Russian High School Principals Forum" Was Held in HIT

From December 2 to 5, the “Impression HIT-Russian High School Principals Forum” was held in HIT. The School of International Education of HIT and the Russian Federation of High Schools signed a road-map of cooperation. Vice Principal Mr. Ren Nanqi attended the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered a speech.

Mr. Ren Nanqi said in his speech that HIT and the Russian have a long history of exchange and cooperation, especially since 2011 when HIT together with the Russian Bauman National Technical University led the establishment of the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU) in promoting higher education cooperation, personnel training, scientific research and achieved remarkable results in the two countries and aroused extensive social response. The first “Impression HIT-Russian High School Principals Forum” aimed to discuss how to recruit and cultivate high-quality Russian students to study in HIT and to vigorously promote the construction of Russian students’ base in China to prepare well for China and Russia jointly cultivating elites with international perspective of various industries.

During the forum, the presidents from 22 key middle schools from Russia and the heads of the School of International Education of HIT conducted extensive and in-depth discussions on the enrollment and training of overseas students, the short-term and long-term study of overseas students and the construction of high-quality students’ base, and signed the “The School of International Education of Harbin Institute of Technology International - Russian High Schools Alliance Cooperation Roadmap”. According to the Roadmap, the two sides will boost the cooperation in projects like sending students to study in Harbin Institute of Technology, the Short-term Study Tour, the “study in Harbin Institute of Technology” and other projects. Yekaterinburg 110 high school graduates, HIT Ph.D. candidates and Ralph, the “Overseas Students’ Vitality in China” champion team main player and other students gave details about the HIT study life and sincerely hoped that their excellent alma mater graduates could study in HIT.

During this time, the participants visited the Harbin Institute of Technology Museum, and enjoyed the “The Belt and The Road and A Family” Chinese and foreign students evening party.
