HIT hosts the IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine

From December 15th to 18th, International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine sponsored by IEEE, held by the School of Computer Science and Technology and the School of Life Science and Technology of HIT, was opened in Shenzhen.

The conference held four-day main venue report and 21 Sub-venues seminars including High Performance Computing in Bioinformatics. More than 190 domestic and international biological information experts and scholars made academic reports and 350 domestic and international bioinformatics and systems biology experts and scholars made exchanges about the cutting-edge scientific research work. Professor Wang Dongya, the president of the School of Computer Science and Technology, served as Chairman of the Conference. Professor Jiang Qinghua of the School of Life Science and Technology served as Chairman of the Organization Committee.

The IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine (BIBM) has established itself as the premier research conference in bioinformatics and biological computing field. It has been held nine times in turn in China, US, and Europe.
