Recently, at the 50th session CES International Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas, USA, the biped anthropomorphic robot, named Talos, drew a lot of attention, which was researched and produced independently by Leju Robotic Company founded by the doctoral students of HIT over 2 years ago.

According to an authoritative evaluation report, Talos is the first Chinese robot ranked among the international first-class humanoid robots and it is also the first humanoid robot with visual function in China, which can compete with the robot named Altas developed by Boston Dynamics last year. With the human body structure, Talos is about 60cm high and the saucer-shaped head design with a touch of blue light makes it seem like a sci-fic movie protagonist. Talos has a simple hand structure and each hand with three figures allowing it to lightly grab some things. Talos has 22 high-speed operation joints with which it can walk like a human being when it moves its feet and swings its arms. Different from the general robot which need to stop, turn and advance before they can change its direction while walking, Talos can intelligently adjust its walking trajectory smoothly and naturally along with an arc. It is a technical threshold to keep the biped humanoid robot balanced during fast walking. Faced with that, Leju venture team didn’t give up and finally they made it happen. Talos can rapidly and stably walk and its maximum stride interval is about 15cm. Its fastest speed is up to 45cm par second with 3 steps every second, which equals to a child’s walking speed.

According to a Leju robotics company director, different from the most institutions and companies which specialize in the artificial intelligence and robotic brain development, they aim to create a humanoid robot body whose exercise ability exceeds human beings. Therefore, it can lay a solid foundation for the future service robots by providing a strong body for the strong artifice intelligent brain to fill the blanks in the robotic industry.

Leju Robotics Company not only shows its latest research results, but also achieves great sales performance because of its reliable product quality and service. It has singed cooperative agreements with several customers from America, Germany and Spain and earned a great reputation in the international market.
