On January 25, vice president Ren Nanqi met minister counsellor Carlos Parra of Chilean embassy to China in the Administration Building.
On behalf of the university, Ren Nanqi extended his welcome to Mr.Carlos Parra and other delegates,and introduced to them our achievements in scientific research, talent cultivation and international cooperation. He expressed his wishes that Chilean universities and HIT can do collaboration and exchange in many fields to make common development in scientific research, communication and mutual visiting of teachers and students and disciplinary construction.
Mr.Carlos Parra made introduction of Chilean Universidad de Concepcion. He wished that both sides can conduct cooperation and exchange in talent cultivation and scientific research to make common development. He also expressed that we could together build “China-Chile Future Network Joint Laboratory”by the support of DaTang Telecommunication Technology Limited Corporation and Harbin Institute of Technology in order to further cooperation and exchange as well as friendship between China and Chile. Mr.Carlos Parra handed over the letter from the president of Chilean Universidad de Concepcion to President Zhou Yu.
President of DaTang Telecommunication Technology Limited Corporation introduced the company and their cooperation projects with Latin American countries.
Mr.Carlos Parra and other delegates made a visit to HIT Museum.
People in charge of Institute of Science and Technology, International Cooperation Department and School of Communication joined the meeting.
