On April 6th, a team led by Si Zefu, the chairman and secretary of the Party committee of the Harbin Electric Group (HEC Group) conducted research in Harbin institute of Technology (HIT), which further promotes the cooperation between universities and enterprise. Zhou Yu, the president of HIT, Han Jiecai and Guo Bin, vice-presidents of HIT also participated in this research.
In the speech, Zhou Yu points out that since the 1950s, HIT has formed a great tradition of serving the country’s major needs and serving regional economic development in the process of interacting with industries and regional development. At that time, HIT grabbed the opportunity of centralized construction of the Soviet Union in Harbin, established the highly professional discipline system which was greatly met the need for construction of the industrial system in new China and provided strong talents and technical support for the construction of the Soviet Union aid project, making a prominent contributions to the development of higher education and local economic construction. Over the years, HIT has been actively adapting to the national strategy, regional development and industrial construction needs, established disciplines with characteristics and advantages which tightly fit the national innovation-driven development strategy and formed the characteristic talent cultivation system featuring with solid foundation, strong practice, stringent process and innovation focused. At present, China’s economic development is in the critical position of structure adjustment and transformation and requirements of the development of industrial economy for the science and technology has been higher than ever. In the face of the new world competition pattern, the new national strategic needs and the new round of scientific and technological revolution and the industrial revolution, HIT, as a research university known for its engineering, has made it an important part of the cause of university serving the society to promote the local economic development through science and technology. Two of Xi Jinping series of important speeches were made especially about the Heilongjiang Province, which provided important guidelines both for HIT to give full play of its advantages and for Heilongjiang Province to realize the innovative development and point out the right direction for the transformation and upgrading of state-owned enterprise in Heilongjiang Province. HIT has a solid foundation for cooperation with the Harbin Electric Group. Facing the new situation, we should cooperate with each other sincerely, preciously and meticulously and implement the spirit of Xi Jinping series of important speeches and requirements of both provincial government and Party commission, helping Heilongjiang Province find a new path of full revitalization.
Si Zefu says that he witnesses the profound history, strong research and development strength and fruitful scientific achievements and that HIT takes the initiative to adapt to national needs and serve the social development. In the course of nearly a hundred years, HIT has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for every field and made great contributions for the development of both country and region. In the HEC Group, there are a large number of outstanding graduates of HIT working in various positions, who play an important role in the development of the HEC Group. HEC Group and HIT has a long history of cooperation and the two sides signed a series of cooperation projects, in which HIT provided an important technical and talent support for the HEC Group. Currently, the country implements the innovation-driven development strategy and accelerated the revitalization of the northeast old industrial base. Under this background, we hope that the two sides, the HEC Group and HIT, can take advantages of located in Harbin and establish a closer cooperation mechanism. Let’s combine the enterprise’s future development and university’s discipline advantages, seek cooperation carriers and build cooperation platform. Let’s further expand cooperation through the complementary advantages and collaborative innovation. Let’s conduct a joint research and establish a practice base to promote the joint talent cultivation and on-the-job training. Let’s continue to improve the multi-level cooperation pattern, cooperate with each other and fully release our own advantages in transference of the achievements in scientific research and advantages in scientific R&D to promote the development of Heilongjiang Province and jointly strengthen the comprehensive revitalization of the old industrial base.
Zhang Yingjian, the deputy manager of the HEC Group and relevant persons in charge of the Academia Sinica, department of science and technology quality and human resource department as well as relevant persons in charge of the office, science and engineering institute and the section of recruitment and employment participated in this research. The two sides exchange their opinions on the cooperation mechanism between university and enterprise, the needs of enterprises, the transference of scientific achievements and the talent cultivation in the conference.
Before the forum, the research team led by Si Zefu also visited the museum, satellite technology research institute and robot research institute.
