On June 9th, the China Launch of Energy Technology Perspective 2017 jointly organized by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and HIT is held at HIT Museum Auditorium. Mr. Kamel Ben Naceur, the director of the Sustainability, Energy Technology Perspective of IEA, Mr. Tu Jianjun, head of the IEA Chinese Cooperation Department, and Mrs. Ding Xuemei, vice-president of HIT, attends the conference.
Mrs. Ding Xuemei points out that the launch of Energy Technology Perspective 2017 is a significant measure of HIT to implement the spirit of speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the new development concepts of “innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing”. It is also an important event of international influence in the process of promoting the “double first-class” construction of HIT, and striving to build it into a world-class university with Chinese characteristics and HIT high standards. She hopes that the experts and scholars would work and pool wisdom together to discuss the global energy technology trends, policy making and economic impacts of energy transformation, so as to make contributions to the development of the international energy industry.
In the speech, Mr Tu Jianjun gives an introduction of the International Energy Agency (IEA), such as its purpose, nature, etc. He expresses his hope that the International Energy Agency and HIT can work together to contribute to China's energy transformation and economic development as well as draw some inspiration and reference of markets and policies to the changing energy structure in China.
At the conference, Mr. Kamel Ben Naceur gives the report on Energy Technology Perspective 2017 of IEA. The report presents the status quo, issues and development of energy technology from various aspects: the revolution of energy system, the acceleration and guidance of energy technology calling for policy signals, comprehensive approaches to the future of sustainable energy, the prerequisite for economic solutions——coordinated action and technology mix, etc.
During the conference, Mr. Qin Yukun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and experts and scholars from the State Key Laboratory of Urban Water Resources and Water Environment, Harbin Turbine Co., Ltd., China Energy Network Research Center and HIT (Shenzhen) give reports on improving the efficiency of coal-fired boilers, R&D of clean coal combustion technology, bio-hydrogen technology market prospects and other topics. They also discuss and exchange views on related issues.
Established in November 1974, the International Energy Agency is an intergovernmental organization based in Paris. It is the most authoritative international organization in the field of energy. China joined the Allies of the International Energy Agency in 2016. The Energy Technology Perspective 2017 of IEA is the flagship report in the field of energy research in the world, which analyzes and judges major issues such as the technical development, demand of investment and sustainable development impact of the global energy system transformation. It plays an important role in the development and coordination of countries’ energy policies around the world, and also in guiding the investment and transformation of global energy.
