Currently, Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics issued the award-winning list of the 11th “Zhou Peiyuan National Mechanics Competition (Individual Competition) of Undergraduates”. Students in HIT won one special prize, 6 first prizes and 3 second prizes, with the total ranking remaining top in individual competition.

There were 23000 participants from more than 300 universities and colleges in China. The total award ratio was 0.5 percent, and the prizes HIT won accounted for 8 percent of the total. To improve skills by taking advantage of the competition, the teaching and research sections of both rational mechanics and mechanics of materials of the school of astronautics gave a 10-week training to the 382 participants in HIT, helping them lay a solid theoretical foundation in mechanics.
