On the morning of September 14, Mr. Ren Nanqi, vice-president of HIT meets with Mr. Bardor Dirana and his wife, the cotrustee of the US Schaeffook Foundation, Prof. Ron Houston and fellow 4 people from Machinery and Materials School of University of Cincinnati.
On behalf of HIT, Mr. Ren Nanqi extends warm welcome to Mr. Dirana and the fellow people and expresses gratitude to them for their supports for HIT's international cooperation. Mr. Ren Nanqi stresses the potential opportunities for cooperation between the two sides and the main focus of the future development of Harbin Institute of Technology, and hopes HIT can have further cooperation with Mr. Dirana and Prof. Houston. Contributing to the exchange project of HIT and Phillips Academy in 1979, Mr.Dirana has a profound affection with HIT and hopes that Schaeffers Foundation would carry out further cooperation with HIT in more fields. Prof. Houston hopes to continue to cooperate with HIT School of Life Science and Technology.
