On October 28th, the 2017 China Robotics Invitational Competition was held on the second campus of HIT. The competition was a cooperative effort organized and sponsored by the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province, the Communist Youth League Committee of Heilongjiang Province and Harbin Institute of Technology. After fierce competition, HIT won first prize in the Technology Innovation Award (Undergraduate Team) category.
The Competition was comprised of 10 competitive events including a robot contest, AELOS comprehensive contest, a robot innovation contest and an unmanned aerial vehicle contest. There were two categories of awards, including Individual and Technology Innovation. More than 40 teams from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Hong Kong University and other universities and institutions participated.
Mr. Zhang Hongtao, deputy secretary of HIT CPC party committee and vice president of HIT attended the awards ceremony. Leaders form the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, the Communist Youth League Committee of Heilongjiang Province, the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province and HIT were also present.
