In order to better implement “The Belt and Road” national initiative and actively explore the model of cultivating innovative and practical talents with the joint efforts of university and enterprises, HIT together with China Road and Bridge Corporation (referred to as CRBC) will build “The Belt and Road”Outstanding Engineers Graduate Overseas Training Base. On the morning of September 18, both parties held a signing ceremony in Room 333 of H.I.T.’s Administrative Building. On behalf of the two parties, Ms. Ding Xuemei, HIT Vice President, and Mr. Shen Zhan, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of CPC for the China Road and Bridge Corporation, signed the joint agreement.

After the signing ceremony, both parties exchanged views on how to deepen cooperation in key areas. Mr. Shen Zhan introduced the development and status of the enterprise. He expressed that in recent years, CRBC has actively responded to the call for a national “going out” strategy, consciously integrating into the “Belt and Road” national initiative and contracting to build a number of regional and international landmarks of great influence. Looking into the future, the enterprise will continue to strengthen cooperation with strong engineering academicians, such as Tsinghua University and Harbin Institute of Technology. It will also focus on cultivating inter-disciplinary talents to meet the requirements for the development of business, so as to strive to achieve mutual benefit and a “win-win” cooperation between the enterprise and the universities.

On behalf of HIT, Ms.Ding Xuemei extended a warm welcome to CRBC and thanked them for their cooperation. She presented the history and achievements of HIT in recent years. She pointed out that in its history of nearly a hundred years, HIT has produced graduates with the characteristics of “a solid foundation, strong practice, strict process and an innovative orientation.” At the same time, HIT has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for various fields in China. HIT graduates have received positive recognition and evaluations from enterprises and all walks of society. It is hoped that through the signing, the two parties can explore further areas for cooperation and establish a more closely, comprehensive and in-depth cooperation to explore a new mode for cultivating international talents and contribute to the “Belt and Road” national initiative.
