HIT Students Win National Undergraduate IoT Design Contest TI Cup Again

The 2017 TIIC National Undergraduate IoT Design Contest was held in Wuxi September 10th and 11th, 2017. The delegations from HIT obtained good results. The team under the guidance of He Shengyang, a teacher from HIT’s School of Electronics and Information Engineering won the first prize and TI Cup. It’s the second time for HIT to win the top award of this contest.  HIT previously won the TI Cup in 2014. Moreover, four teams, under the guidance of Wu Xianghu, Nie Lanshun and Qu Mingcheng, from HIT’s School of Computer Science and Technology HIT also won the first prize and second prize.

The National Undergraduate IoT Design Contest is the only discipline competition in “Internet of Things” sponsored by MOE Higher Institution Computer Teaching Guiding Committee.  It is also the largest IoT discipline competition in China. The theme for the contest was “IoT Technique—Promoting the Development of Innovative Application.”   It attracted more than 1,500 teams (6,500 students) from 500 universities and colleges.  After preliminary rounds 120 teams were selected to compete in the national finals.
