HIT Team Wins First Prize in the 2017 China Mobile Internet Innovation Contest

Recently, the Finals of the 2017 China Mobile Internet Innovation Contest were held in Beijing.  The project “AR-based Intelligent Guide Housekeeping Travel IP Culture” won the first prize. It was led by Pan Husheng, an HIT Master’s degree student of design and guided by Prof. Chen Yuehua from the Department of Media Technology and Art in the School of Mechatronics Engineering.

The Contest is overseen by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Association for Science and Technology and the Silk Road Planning Research Center. It is sponsored by the China Institute of Communications, China Mobile Internet Industry Incubation Center, CITVC Kehua Cultural Industry Development Center, as well as the SME Service Center of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, Xinhua News Media Investment Co. Ltd. and so on.

Since March of 2017 when the Contest was initiated this year, more than 2000 teams from universities and communities in all sectors of China entered the contest. After rigorous preliminary contests 215 teams were chosen to compete in six categories in the Finals in Beijing.
