The 12th Annual China Intelligent Robot Conference Is Held in Harbin

Recently, the 12th Annual China Intelligent Robot Conference was held in Harbin. This conference was hosted by the Chinese Artificial Intelligence Society and sponsored by HIT and the State Key Laboratory of Robot Technology and Systems. Experts, scholars and engineers who are engaged in intelligent robotics and related fields from across the country discussed and exchanged ideas about recent research results, development directions and strategies for Chinese intelligent robotics. SHI Zhaohui, the Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department of Heilongjiang Province, and GUO Bin, the Vice President of HIT, addressed the opening ceremony.

CAI Hegao, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and LIU Hong, the Vice Chairman of the Chinese Artificial Intelligence Society and professor from Peking University, attended the opening ceremony. During the conference, the sixth election of the  Intelligent Robot Specialized Committee was held. Professor FU Yili, Vice Director of the Robotics Research Institute and Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Robot Technology and systems, served as the chairman. Nine experts gave reports regarding intelligent robot research and development trends. Among them were an IEEE Expert, a Distinguished Specialist from the "Thousand Talents Program", "Chang Jiang Scholars", and winners of the Outstanding Youth Fund.
