Accompanied by Xiong Sihao, deputy secretary of the standing committee of HIT's party committee, Wang Aiwen, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and minister of the General Committee, made a special trip to visit Ren Nanqi, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and vice principal at HIT. He listened to Ren’s opinions and suggestions on development for Heilongjiang Province.
Ren Nanqi briefed Wang Aiwen on team composition, achievements in scientific research and personal work on the Sponge City construction and black and odorous water treatment. He confirmed his intention to continue leading the team. They will continue to constantly explore, innovate, and actively assist in the development of Heilongjiang province, especially with environmental concerns. Wang Aiwen thanked Ren Nanqi for his contribution to the development of environmental protection for the nation as well as in Heilongjiang province. He reported that the 19th CPC National Congress proposed to build a prosperous, strong, democratic, modern and beautiful socialist country. There is room for much improvement and progress in environmental issues. This provides an enormous market for the development of the environmental protection industry. He hopes that Ren Nanqi will play a leading role in scientific and technological research for the construction of a beautiful China and in particular, Heilongjiang province.
