Recently, the 2017 College Computer Systems & Programming Contest, organized by the China Computer Federation, was held in Fuzhou. A total of 10 undergraduates from HIT’s School of Computer Science and Technology participated in the contest winning 3 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. Their total score ranked them third amongst all participating colleges and universities.
The contest attracted 404 students from 53 colleges and universities in China, including Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University. Song Ziqi, Han Yue and Xu Yang won gold medals on behalf of HIT. Chen Haifeng, Wang Zekun, Ma Yukun, Wang Zihao, Pu Yi and Guo Liyi, won silver medals. Wang Xuesong won a bronze medal.
The College Computer Systems & Programming Contest is a highly respected competition sponsored by 15 famous universities, including Harbin Institute of Technology and Tsinghua University. Its purpose is to improve the level of computer education in colleges and universities.
