Deng Zongquan, was born in October 1965. He is a standing committee member of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy. He is an HIT professor and doctoral supervisor. Deng Zongquan has long engaged in design philosophy and techniques for aerospace mechanisms and specialized robots. His research has focused on extreme environmental suitability and high reliability service issues of mechanical systems. Deng has also taken charge of serval subsystem research projects and tackled problems with key technologies in the multi-national spaceflight program as well as major defense projects. He has achieved significant results in mobile systems and transfer systems for the lunar rover, the sampling operation structure for the lunar surface, space folding and unfolding and lock-unlock mechanisms. His technological developments have been key contributions for innovation applications, such as Chang'e 3 and Chang'e 5. He has won two National Technological Invention Awards (second class), one National Science & Technology Progress Award (third class), and three first class awarda at ministerial and provincial levels. He has published two treatises, 102 SCI papers, and 224 EI papers. He has been cited by others 2473 times, and has 81 authorized patents. He supervises 39 doctoral students. He has earned the reputation of outstanding teacher in two national teaching results. He has been appointed as an appraisal group member on the academic degrees committee for mechanical subjects, the director of the MoE machinery foundation teaching guidance committee, and an expert for the national lunar exploration program, human lunar exploration and deep space detection programs. He has also achieved outstanding accomplishments in spatial mechanism innovation research and engineering applications.
Tan Jiubin, male, born in March 1955. He is a member of the Communist Party of China, as well as a professor and doctoral supervisor. Tan Jiubin has long been engaged in ultra-precise measurement theory and technique and equipment research for high-end equipment manufacturing. His achievements have served our country and have been widely applied in this field. He has won a National Technological Invention Award (first class), two National Technological Invention Awards (second class). He has 132 authorized patents, including 21 international patents. He has set 26 standards, published three treatises, 310 papers (172 SCI, 280 EI, and has been cited by others 2578 times). As a member of the standing committee and chairman of the International Committee of Measurement and Instruments (ICMI), he organized nine international academic conferences. Currently he supervises 61 doctoral students. He is the founder of HIT’s Ultra-Precise Instrument Research Laboratory and industrialization base. The team under his leadership became the first defense technology innovation team.
