National Forum on Government Sponsored Overseas Studies Held at HIT

On December 22nd, 2017, the National Forum on Government Sponsored Overseas Studies was held at HIT. Sheng Jianxue, Secretary of the China Scholarship Council, Li Xin and Wang Zhe, Director and Vice Director of the Asian and African Affairs Department of China Scholarship Council, Sun Xiaomeng, Deputy Director of the “Visiting China Affairs” Department of the China Scholarship Council, Wang Shuyun, Deputy Director-General for the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Education, Zhang Dazhu and Zong Xiyun, Director and Vice Director of the Division for International Cooperation and Exchange for the Department of Education of Heilongjiang Province, and Ren Nanqi, Vice President of HIT attended the forum.

Mrs.Wang Shuyun presented an overview of government-sponsored overseas studies in Heilongjiang Province. Mr. Ren Nanqi shared HIT’s participation in the government sponsored overseas studies program.  He told of the benefits of sending students to study abroad sponsored by the government as part of the construction of a “double first-class” university and as part of the HIT’s international exchange indicator system. He also put forward the opinion with  suggestions of how the CSC could increase support for universities in Northeast China as part of the  construction of the “Belt and Road” preparatory base. Delegates from colleges and universities, such as Harbin Engineering University, Harbin Medical University, Harbin University of Science and Technology, Northeast Forestry University, Northeast Agricultural University, Heilongjiang University, Harbin Normal University gave reports on government sponsored overseas studies at their universities. They also offered relevant recommendations.
