On December 29th, 2017 a number of “Black Technologies” were featured on CCTV-1’s program “Wisdom Future, Pioneer Night”. It was the final episode of Man-Machine Battle of Wits for 2017. Among the scientific research achievements demonstrated were artificial intelligence by JIU Ge which can recite poems, as well as parking technology for the fast-running Renaissance EMU, the Eagle UAV and the Mars vehicle. The highlight of the season-ending celebration was a street dance by the robot legion composed of 400 robot Aelos. This legion is from the Leju Robot Team, a start-up enterprise of our school.
Robot dancing is a common occurrence, but unlike slow and rigid robotic dance in the past, the robot legion featured the more challenging street dance. The opening dance amazed all with its creative display! Specializing in humanoid robot products, Leju Robot is a pioneering company founded in 2016. The team has successfully resolved technical problems of maintaining balance and stability during rapid movement. It has taken the forefront in core technologies such as gait algorithms. Tencent, Shenzhen Innovation Investment Group, and Shenzhen Songhe Capital Management Co., Ltd, have invested nearly one hundred million yuan in this rising star in the artificial intelligence industry.
