Professor Zhou Lijun Awarded the 7th China Architectural Design Award for Architectural Education

Recently, the winners of “the 7th China Architectural Design Award for Architectural Education” were announced.  HIT’s School of Architecture Professor, Zhou Lijun was one of those chosen to receive the award.

“The China Architectural Design Award for Architectural Education” is the highest honor given for Chinese architectural educators. It recognizes architectural educators who have made significant contributions to architectural education and have played a major role in promoting architectural education. Since the establishment of the award in 2004, it has become widely recognized at home and abroad. A total of 17 people received the award this year.

Professor Zhou Lijun has been engaged in architectural education for 34 years. He is famous in our school as a leader in teaching, and a national first-grade registered architect. He has previously won second prize for national teaching achievements, two first prizes and three second prizes for teaching achievements in Heilongjiang province, and one excellent course award for Heilongjiang province. He has been engaged and made great achievements in the design and research field of traditional residence and interior design. Currently. He is the Vice Chairman of the Institute of Interior Design of the Architectural Society of China. He also serves as the vice director of Residential Architecture Committee of the National Architecture Research Association of China, director of the Academic Committee for Healthy Residences of the Chinese Architectural Society of China. He is an “expert” member from the Committee for the Protection of Traditional Dwellings of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction of China.
