HIT Students Win Three Special Awards from "The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Scholarship for Industry and Information Technology"

Recently the results of the special awards for the 2017 "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Scholarship for Industry and Information Technology" were announced. Students from HIT won 3 special awards.  Lin Jinghuang, a doctoral student won the special award for the Innovation Scholarship.  The doctoral students’ team from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Sciences, consisting of Wang Yu, Zheng Xiaoqiang, Han Yuyang, Wang Lipeng, along with Li Yunzhou, a college undergraduate from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering were awarded the special innovation and entrepreneurship Scholarship. In addition, many students and teams from HIT won the first, second and third prize awards in the category of innovation and entrepreneurship.
The "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Scholarship for Industry and Information Technology" was established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for its seven affiliated universities in 2016. The Scholarships are divided into two categories: "Innovation Scholarship" and "Entrepreneurship Scholarship".  Innovation scholarships are awarded to undergraduate, masters and doctoral students with outstanding achievements in academic innovation, discipline competitions, and scientific and technological inventions.  Entrepreneurship scholarships are awarded to undergraduate, masters and doctoral students who have demonstrated outstanding performance in self-employment and entrepreneurial practice. The competition selected many innovation scholarships including 10 special scholarships, 60 first prizes, 140 second prizes, and 210 third prizes.  Many entrepreneurial scholarships including 10 special scholarships, 60 first prizes, 70 second prizes were also awarded.
