On August 12th, the International Collegiate Spacecraft Innovation Design Contest 2018 came to a close in HIT. 47 teams from 32 universities and research institutes in China, Russia, Pakistan and other countries were selected for the finals. After two days of intense competition, the three teams of HIT, National University of Defense Technology and Amur National University won the first prize.

An Shi,Vice President attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Relevant experts introduced the research status and future development trend of the spacecraft field centering around dynamic system simulation modeling and aerospace engineering research. The spacecraft is the integration and best embodiment of high-tech in many disciplines. It integrates many disciplines such as machinery, communication, electronics, control, materials, etc. Its innovation has expanded from single technology to system integration technology, research and production and application mode innovation.More than 150 participants have shown their thought, awareness, and ability of innovation on the concept of new concept spacecraft system technology, spacecraft innovation application, new sub-system or payload, commercial aerospace innovation mode and operation and other forward-looking new concepts, methods and technologies, etc by PPT, animation, video, physical and model, and other ways.

It is reported that this competition was jointly sponsored by China Aerospace Society, the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities(ASRTU), HIT and Moscow Bauman State Technical University. It was organized by School of Aerospace of HIT and aimed to promote exchanges and cooperation among students from aerospace universities around the world, stimulate students' interest in aerospace high-tech exploration and cultivate their senses of innovation, comprehensive analysis and practical skills.
