CCTV reports the story behind the most beautiful photo of the Earth and the Moon taken by the Harbin Institute of Technology's micro-satellite team

On February 20, in several programs broadcast on its news channel, CCTV reported the dream-pursuing story behind the most beautiful photo of the Earth and the Moon taken by HIT's micro-satellite team.

After Science magazine published a photo on February 15 of the Earth and the Moon taken by a mini-CMOS camera on HIT’s satellite Longjiang II, the photo has been widely spread by leading international media. The British newspaper The Independent reported, “A Chinese satellite has snapped what might be the best photo ever taken of the Moon and the Earth”.

Wei Mingchuan, Hu Chaoran, Tamil, and Zhao Yuhao, whom Science labeled as the talented four photographers, are all students from Harbin Institute of Technology 's micro-satellite team. Back in 2015, this dream team successfully launched the nanosatellite Syringa II, which is the first nanosatellite designed, developed, and controlled by university students.

This young team also attracted the attention of CCTV. The news channel reported how these young people who live for their dream pursued their aerospace aspirations and how the new generation of HIT students fulfill and inherit the “broad and profound aerospace spirit” with great pursuit and loyalty.
