HIT News (Song Yiqian / text, Ji Xing/photo)At the time of its centenary, HIT received more than 15.16 million yuan donation from alumni of the School of Civil Engineering. On the afternoon of Oct 24, the Educational Development Foundation of HIT held a collective medal ceremony for alumni of the School of Civil Engineering in the second campus. Sun Xue, organization minister of HIT, presented donation commemorative medals, certificates and educational contribution awards to representatives of donors.
Some of the donating alumni and company representatives attended the ceremony. The alumni representatives expressed their gratitude to the alma mater in their speeches, saying that, as a student cultivated by HIT, it is an honor for them to give back to their alma mater.In the journey of the new century, they will continue to support the development and construction of HIT as always, and at the same time wish their alma mater to create a new glory and temper more excellent talentsfor the country.
HIT representative Sun Xue thanked the alumni for their good deeds of donation. She said that the alumni, adhering to the spirit and tradition of HIT, have contributed the wisdom and strength to the country and society, and also won the reputation of their alma mater. The school will definitely use the donations according to the designated requirements, fully implement the spirit of the congratulatory letter of President Xi, and strive to run a good education that satisfies the people.
