HIT News (School of Materials Science and Engineering / text)The representative team composed of students from the School of MaterialsScience and Engineeringwas granted the only grand prize in the finals of the 6th China College Students' Material Heat Treatment Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CCSMHTIEC)held in HIT from Oct24 to 25.Another team from our school won the first prize in the competition. HIT won the Outstanding Organization Award. Teachers including Zhang Yanxiang, Yan Fu and Zhang Qiang won the Outstanding Instructor Award. Huang Xiaoxiao and other teachers won the Outstanding Organizer Award. Thirteen students were rated as excellent volunteers. Professor Yan Mufufrom School ofMaterials Science and Engineering served as an expert judge of the competition.
This year'scompetition was sponsored by the Heat Treatment Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society and hosted by HIT, Heilongjiang Heat Treatment Society and Harbin Heat Treatment Society. 199 teams composed of 845 students from more than 100 universities participated in the preliminaries, of which 63 teams entered the finals. In the end, 19 teams won the first prize and 37 teams won the second prize. Since the competition was held for 6 times, a total of 3 special prizes has been honored teams from HIT.
Since the founding of CCSMHTIEC, withthe guiding principal of sound foundation, strong integration and valued breakthroughs, cultivated a number of heat treatment talentsfavored byworld-class universities and high-end equipment manufacturing enterprises under the approach of applying what you have learned and aspiring to perfection. In February 2020, the competition was selected into the National College Discipline Competition Ranking List.
