HIT News (Ji Xing/Text Xin Ran/Photo) - A hundred years of wind and rain, a new chapter in the new century. On December 5, the 7th Seminar of Alumni Both at Home and Abroad and Entrepreneur Forum was Held in room 301 of the Activity Center. XiongSihao, chairman of the University Council, presented the commemorative medal to the honorary trustees. Zhou Yu, President of HIT and President of the Alumni Association, delivered a speech at the meeting. Nearly 200 alumni from 31 provincial alumni associations, 28 local and municipal alumni associations, and 26 industry alumni associations gathered together to communicate and discuss alumni work with the leaders of HIT and the Alumni Association. Students and faculty from the three campuses of HIT, and alumni both from home and abroad attended the conference online.
In commemoration of the school’s centennial, many alumni, enterprises and individuals have made donations to the Educational Development Foundation to support the school's educational development. According to the Provisional Measures for Awarding Honorary Trustees during the Centennial Celebration of Harbin Institute of Technology, HIT decided to award Zhang Simin and 14 others the title of Honorary Trustee.
