On the afternoon of June 16, the 2021 International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research and Application (Harbin) was held under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Heilongjiang Provincial Government. The conference was sponsored by the National Center for Schooling Development Programme of the Ministry of Education, and co-hosted by the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province, Harbin Institute of Technology, Heilongjiang University and Northeast Agricultural University. Sun Dongsheng, the vice governor of Heilongjiang Province, and the leaders from some the relative departments of the Ministry of Education attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Liu Hong, the vice president of HIT presided over the opening ceremony. Nikolai Korobachev, the president of St. Petersburg State University, delivered an on-line speech.
The secretariat of the International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research and Application (Harbin) was inaugurated at the conference. The universities, research institutions and enterprises attending the conference reached 10 cooperation agreements at the conference. HIT and St. Petersburg State University established the Sino-Russian Joint Research Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies and the Sino-Russian Joint Research Center for Applied Mathematics, and launched a four-university alliance mobility program with Dalian Maritime University, Northeastern Federal University of Russia and Norwegian University of Life Sciences and released the results as the signing of this conference.
It is the second time for HIT to host this conference since 2019, however, it is the first time for HIT to hold the conference in an online and offline interactive mode. Based on the development of Northeast Asia and regional leading industrial innovation needs and the “double first-class” discipline construction, high-level applied university transformation construction and other real needs, this conference will accurately combine domestic and foreign scientific and technological resources and talent resources, and strive to carry out basic and original scientific research on Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other countries. More than 470 experts and scholars from universities, research institutions and enterprises from 14 countries, including China, Russia, Ukraine and France, attended the conference online and offline.
The conference has five sub-forums: new materials, artificial intelligence and big data, polar science and technology, modern agriculture and smart agriculture, and medicine. Some distinguished experts and scholars from HIT, St. Petersburg State University, Northeastern Federal University, European Academy of Sciences and other Chinese and foreign universities, research institutes and enterprises such as iFlytek held seminars and workshops in the relevant fields, and negotiate the cooperation concerning transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements.
