In recent years, the development of information technology represented by Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and blockchain has promoted the extensive accumulation and in-depth application of data, and data has become a key factor of production. Digital economy is no longer the future tense, but the present progressive tense, and it will become an increasingly mainstream economic form.
From the perspective of the course of human industrial revolution, we are in the fourth industrial revolution, and two characteristics are very prominent: the digital revolution brought about by the deep integration of the physical world and the digital world; the green revolution represented by energy structure adjustment. In the process of promoting sustainable development and high-quality development, industrial structure adjustment, energy structure adjustment, advocating green and low-carbon life and vigorously developing the digital economy will become the direction of innovation and development. The key driving force for developing the digital economy is innovation, which is also the only way for the economy to develop with high quality, including four meanings: innovation of new technologies and new products triggered by low-carbonization, digitalization, intelligence and networking; innovation of new business models brought about by digital economy, platform economy, blockchain, carbon sink economy, financial technology, etc.; new decision-making modes brought about by multi-constraint conditions, big data and artificial intelligence; new thinking modes and new development concepts at the height of the fourth industrial revolution. In the innovation and development of the digital industry, the most important thing is to have a new thinking mode and new development concept in the digital economy era.
The key to promoting the development of the digital economy is people. How to better train talents to meet the needs of the digital economy era is a new requirement put forward by the society for universities. The innovative development of the digital economy needs not only outstanding scientists and engineers who can promote breakthroughs and progress in digital science and technology, but also outstanding entrepreneurs and managers who promote the integration of technology and business models and are innovative and forward-looking. In the future development of the digital economy, outstanding scientific and technological talents and outstanding management talents will jointly become the driving force and source to promote the development of the digital economy. Therefore, in the development of the digital economy, attention should be paid not only to the cultivation of digital science and digital technology talents, but also to the cultivation of digital management and digital economy talents. Universities should be more forward-looking and train more talents to meet the needs of the future society.
