On the morning of July 12th, the second doctoral degree conferment ceremony of 2021 was held in the auditorium of the main building and webcast live at the same time. 391 doctoral students have successfully graduated and started a new journey in life. Academician Zhou Yu (Chairman of the Academic Degrees Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of HIT) turned the tassel for all PhD students one by one and delivered a speech to all graduates.
On behalf of HIT, president Zhou Yu congratulated all doctoral students on successfully completing their studies. He also expressed his gratitude to the teachers, relatives and friends who are always there to guide, care for and support all PhD students. President Zhou Yu together with everyone present reviewed the significant events in their college life such as celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the founding of HIT and celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. He hoped that all graduates were able to share these glory days while remembering President Xi Jinping's deep commitment to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, to live up to the times, their youth, and the ardent expectations of the Party and the people.
