HIT News--- the First National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers, with the theme of “Promoting Teaching Innovation and Creating First-class Curriculum”, was held in Fudan University from July 27 to 30, 2021. The contest was directed by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education of China, and hosted by the China Association of Higher Education. Prof. HUO Ju from the School of Electricity, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), with his course of “Circuits”, won the second prize among professors from universities affiliated to Ministries (including universities jointly established by the Ministries and the province). Associate Prof. HOU Chengyu from the School of Telecommunications, HIT, with his course of “Communication Electronic Circuits”, won the second prize among associate professors from universities affiliated to Ministries (including universities jointly established by the Ministries and the province). HIT won the Outstanding Organization Award of the contest.
In January this year, HIT organized the first Heilongjiang Teaching Innovation Contest for college teachers and the final contest of the 1st National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers of Heilongjiang Region. Prof. Huo and Associate Prof. Hou won the first prize for the professors’ group and associate professors’ group respectively, and gained the qualification to represent Heilongjiang to participate in the national contest. During the preparation for the national contest, the Teaching Development Center of HIT organized batches of experts from inside and outside the province to offer trainings for trial lectures.
