HIT News (Text and images by Xie Lianghui, Jin Shufang, Ding Bohao, and Liu Bo) From October 8th to 11th, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) President Han Jiecai made an inspection tour to the Shenzhen Campus, and learned about the construction and development of the campus by discussing with teacher and student representatives, paying on-site visits, and listening to work reports, and made arrangements for the future development of Shenzhen Campus.
During the inspection tour to the Shenzhen Campus, President Han participated in a symposium on behalf of teachers and students, and listened to their opinions and suggestions on talent cultivation, scientific researches, teaching faculty training, as well as other affairs. He encouraged the teachers and students on the Shenzhen Campus to strive for national rejuvenation, take advantage of the unprecedented changes unseen in one century, bear in mind things of vital importance to the country, and follow the example of Academician Liu Yongtan, so as to maintain the brave spirit of revolutionaries, promote the spirit of scientists, create more produces of national significance, and cultivate more talents.
President Han also paid special visits to places like laboratories, HIT Shenzhen International School of Design, and student dormitories.
Zhen Liang, vice HIT president and managing vice president of Shenzhen Campus, Shen Yi, assistant to the president, and other relevant department heads attended the inspection tour.
