On November 30th, the signing ceremony of the agreement between HIT and Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in South Korea for joint training of master’s students was held online. Han Jiecai, the president of HIT, and Moo Hwan Kim, the president of Pohang University of Science and Technology, attended the ceremony and signed the agreement on behalf of the two universities.
Han Jiecai said since they signed the inter-university collaborative agreements in 1996, HIT and Pohang University of Science and Technology have always carried out extensive exchanges and maintained close cooperative relations. In particular, the two sides have carried out in-depth academic exchanges and cooperation in the professional fields of environment, life, electronics and information engineering, and electrical engineering. These student exchanges cover various forms such as the exchanges of students, scientific research internships and summer programs. The postgraduate training agreement signed this time is a new measure for HIT to jointly train students with world-class universities. We hope to carry out more beneficial substantive corporations with Pohang University of Science and Technology in the future.
Moo Hwan Kim expresses that he welcomes excellent students from HIT to study for a master’s degree at Pohang University of Science and Technology and hopes that the two sides can strengthen the cooperative partnership in the future, actively cultivate young talents that can lead the scientific and technological development of East Asia and even the whole world, and promote the common development of the two universities.

According to the agreement, HIT will select 40 outstanding undergraduate students every year to study for the master’s degree with full scholarship at Pohang University of Science and Technology.
