HIT students win three awards in science competition

In the "DunAnEnvironment Cup" the Eighth China Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry (CRAA) University Students'Science Competition (Northeast Division), two teams from HIT competed with teams from 13 other universitiesin Northeast China, and won first prize in thegraduatedivision, as well asfirst prize and the Innovation Excellence Awardin theundergraduatedivision.
 
The competition was held by the China Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association (CRAA)and divided into preliminaries and finals. HIT graduate student TIAN Hao completed the innovative design work of,Themulti-linenovel PCM based defrosting for air source heat pumpunder the guidance of teacher JIANG Yiqiang. This design effectively solves the defrosting problems of the multi-line novel PCM based air source heat pump and achieves the requirement ofno downtime for defrosting during winter heating.It was unanimously approved by experts of the review group, and won first prize in thegraduatedivision. HIT undergraduate team members ZHANG Zhuo, LI Feizhi and REN Yan completed the design work of An energy saving air-conditioning system making effective use of engine rooms’waste heat and outdoor natural cooling capacityunder the guidance of teacher DONG Kaijian. They won theInnovation Excellence Awardthroughtheir design work and the outstanding defense of their project. Because of their overall strength, they also won first prize in theundergraduate division.
