The final contest of the 6th National College Mechanical Design and Innovation Competition was held at Northeastern University (NEU) from July 27th to 30th.
Six works from HIT won prizes, including 2 first prizes and 4 second prizes. HIT also won the only first prize scholarship in ZWSOFT Mechanical Innovative Design.
The theme of the contest was “Magical Dream Class” and the content was “The design and production of equipment and teaching aids in class.” From around the nation 612 universities participated and 4180 works were submitted overall. In the final contest, the judges gave scores by reviewing designing materials, observing demonstrations and carrying out procedures, and finally marked each submission according to the scoring criteria. There were 126 first prizes and 229 second prizes in total according to the review by the evaluation committee in the first round results.
The works rom HIT which won the first prize were: “Material Forming Combination Aids” (Producers: YAN Jiming, YU Zhen, XIONG Huaiyin, ZHANG Jinfeng，ZHANG He; Instructors: LIU Jianan, WANG Binsheng), and “Multifunctional Drawing Tools” (Producers: NIU Fuliang, WANG Chunlong, QIAN Cheng, HE Jiangtao, TIAN Jin; Instructors: CUI Shipeng). The works from HIT which won second prize were: “Expanding the Type of Mechanical Aids and Real-time display System” (Producers: HUANG Yongjie, WANG Ping, YU Yuxi, ZHANG Zhaoxiang, CHEN Yulong; Instructors: WANG Binsheng, LIU Jianan), “Smart Class Representative” (Producers: XIAO Haimo, LI Kai, JING Jianying, WANG Xiaole, XU Erdong; Instructors: QUAN Qiquan, SONG Baoyu), “Storm Generating Mechanical Structure Demonstration Device” (Producers: WU Jing, YE Haibin, SUN Jingyuan; Instructors: ZHANG Feng, SONG Baoyu). The project “Multifunctional Drawing Tools” (Producers: NIU Fuliang, WANG Chunlong, QIAN Cheng, HE Jiangtao, TIAN Jin; Instructor: CUI Shipeng) won the only first prize scholarship in ZWSOFT Mechanical Innovative Design.
