HIT students win grand prize in Contest on Energy & Emission Reduction

From August 5th to 7th, the 7th National Student Social Practice & Science Contest on Energy & Emission Reduction was held at Kunming University of Science and Technology. HIT students had an excellent performance in the contest: a total of ten teams got through to the final and won one grand prize, four first prizes and five second prizes; and HIT also won the Outstanding Organization Award.

The 7th National Student Social Practice & Science Contest on Energy & Emission Reduction was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, and Kunming University of Science and Technology. 2395 entries from 252 universities were received during the contest. After online and spot voting, 160 entries from 70 universities got through to the final. The final included an entry exhibition, contestant defense and expert evaluation. The entry completed by five HIT students under the guidance of teacher GAO Jihui won the grand prize.
