HIT wins at 9th National IT Application Level Contest

The finals of the 9th National IT Application Level Contest was held in Beijing from December 6th to 7th by the Education Management Information Centre (EMIC). HIT won:1 Grand Prize, 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 11 Third Prizes, as well as some Bole Prizes and Organization Prizes.
 
Four works of HIT students entered the final, of which the team of ZHANG Minyang, XIAO Xiong and LIN Zeyuan (Teacher:TANG Yanli) won the Grand Prize in the category of creative design and manufacture of integrated mechanical skills; XIANG Peng (Teacher: ZHOU Yan) won First Prize in the category of Innovation Design; the team of SHAO Wendi, LI Zequn and ZHANG CHU Xiao (Teacher:LIU Jianan), and the team of YAO Chen, ZHANG Ningning and DONG Jie (Teacher:JIANG Shengyuan) won Second Prizes in the category of creative design and manufacture of integrated mechanical skills.
 
The contest aims to implement the spirit of the “Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan (2010-2020)” and the “National Long-term Talent Development Program (2010-2020),” and to promote reform of relevant IT related professional colleges’teaching systems, to guide schools to actively cultivate applied talents, to improve students' problem-solving skills and self-learning ability, and to cultivate the innovation and entrepreneurship of students. A total of 7,524 representative teams from 713 universities attended the contest, including Tsinghua University, China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tongji University, and others. There were 11 categories in the contest, including such areas as SCM system design, Smart Water Application, and Design of Robotics.
