The 17th Radar Academic Annual Conference of the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE), co-organized by CIE, the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) and other institutions, was recently held in Harbin,capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province. The event attracted the participation of over 500 leading experts, scholars and students from across the country.
It highlighted the latest research advances in radar technology, showcased 223 poster presentations and featured keynote invited and oral reports.
Discussions focused on frontier topics such as novel radar sensing, cognitive radar and intelligent processing.

Leading experts–including Deng Wei from the China Mobile Research Institute, Yu Faxin at Zhejiang University and Wu Guangxin from China Electronics Technology Group Corporation–delivered keynote reports, sharing major progress and applications in the field.
Chinese Institute of Electronics Vice President Chen Ying called for stronger academic innovation, talent development and optimized resource allocation to advance the discipline of radar. HIT Vice President Liu Hong reaffirmed his universit's support of radar research, encouraging open exchanges and collaboration.
Academician Liu Yongtan, honorary chair of the conference, emphasized that radar technology faced both historic opportunities and challenges.
He urged young scholars and students to pursue perseverance and innovation, contributing to China's technological self-reliance and high-level development.
