The 23rd Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP) was held in Shanghai. State Councilor Shen Yiqin delivered a video speech and announced the opening of the conference.
The conference was jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) and the Shanghai Municipal Government, attracting more than 2,600 foreign experts from more than 110 countries and regions.
The Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) hosted four themed talent exchange events – "Smart Energy and Advanced Power", "Global Industrial Investment Opportunities and Practical Talent", "Frontier Physics and Future Technology", and "Smart Carbon Reduction Cities and Building Development". Nearly 100 international experts from 13 countries and regions participated.
Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Security Yu Jiadong visited the "Smart Energy and Advanced Power" talent exchange activity. HIT's Vice-president Liu Jian attended the conference opening ceremony.

After the event, HIT invited over 80 international experts to its Weihai campus and other locations for fieldwork and in-depth academic exchanges.
