Shuai Yong, vice-president of the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), led a delegation to Thailand and Malaysia recently.
In Thailand, the delegation attended the Third Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization Leadership Development Forum, where Shuai delivered a keynote speech. Delegates also visited King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). In Malaysia, the delegation met with Nga Kor Ming, the minister of Housing and Local Government of Malaysia.
In his keynote speech, Shuai highlighted the significant role of space technology in promoting sustainable urban development on Earth. He shared HIT's innovative achievements and practical experience in the field of aerospace, and expressed his hope for strengthened collaboration among Asia-Pacific countries to leverage space technology for regional sustainable development.

Shuai had a discussion with KMITL President Komsan Maleesee on topics such as life sciences.

Shuai and Nga Kor Ming exchanged views on the promotion of educational cooperation and other topics. Shuai expressed hope that both sides can deepen cooperation in cutting-edge fields such as digital technology and collaboratively cultivate top-notch innovative talent with a global perspective.
Nga Kor Ming stated that he hopes both sides can seize the opportunity presented by the high-level strategic construction of the Malaysia-China community with a shared future to provide Malaysian students with a quality platform to engage with aerospace technology.
