The competition positions design at the intersection of the environment, society, and the economy. It promotes transcending disciplinary boundaries and advancing collaboration across industries and academic fields.
The competition focuses on four key directions: Climate Adaptation (design solutions addressing climate change), Cultural Heritage (contemporary reinterpretation and revitalization of cultural heritage), Circular Regeneration (full life-cycle circular design systems), and Eco-Intelligence (integrating intelligent technologies with ecological protection).
The competition accepted entries in three main categories: Spatial Design, Product Design, and Digital (Smart) Media. A total of 907 entries were received from around the world, with multiple rounds of judging resulting in the selection of nine gold awards, 15 silver awards, and 45 finalist awards. HIT won three gold awards, four silver awards, and 11 finalist awards.
