Chen Jie, Party secretary of the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), and Han Jiecai, HIT president, led a delegation to visit China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) on Feb 6 for research and discussions.

Wang Haibo, Party secretary and chairman of CETC, and Zhu Peng, deputy Party secretary and general manager of CETC, introduced the history, overview, and corporate vision of CETC. They emphasized that there is a solid foundation and promising prospects for collaboration. In the future, CETC will further deepen its strategic partnership with HIT, enhancing cooperation in areas such as technological innovation, talent development, and joint platform initiatives.
On behalf of HIT, Chen and Han noted that since the formal signing of the strategic cooperation framework agreement in 2024, the two sides have engaged in comprehensive cooperation in areas such as scientific research, talent exchange and development, and technology commercialization. They expressed hope that both sides would further strengthen top-level design and establish robust, organized cooperation mechanisms, combining HIT's strengths in talent, disciplines, and research with CETC's advantages in innovation systems and industries to achieve win-win outcomes through complementary strengths. They proposed focusing on urgent national strategic needs and the development of emerging and future industries, jointly building scientific and technological innovation platforms, planning major national projects together, and seizing the high ground in future technologies. They also emphasized serving CETC's talent needs, exploring new paradigms for customized student training, promoting academic exchanges between experts and facilitating the mutual secondment of technical backbone personnel.
