The Harbin sub-venue of the 2026 Spring Festival Gala featured a diverse range of elements from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT).
Faculty and students from the Satellite Technology Institute of HIT's School of Astronautics transmitted the song Dongfanghong into and back from outer space using the ultra-wide micro-nano satellite developed by HIT, presenting a panoramic view of Harbin through remote sensing imagery.
