Li Jiameng is a 2023 master's student from the School of Electronics and Information Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), who is writing her story of warmth and global vision.
Li was selected as one of four Generation Connect Youth Envoys by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in 2024. She attended a high-level seminar co-hosted by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and ITU, and engaged with young people from multiple countries during the "Seeds for the Future 2024" program. There, she gained insights into the digital divide and cybersecurity challenges facing young people. Then she led the Asia-Pacific regional outcomes report, helping build a safer, more inclusive digital world.
Beyond her growth, Li also spreads warmth to others. For five years, she has volunteered in HIT's "Little Red Cap" orientation, guiding thousands of new students. "I want our student organization to be remembered, accessible, and dependable for our peers," she says.
Guided by HIT's motto, Li continues to pursue excellence.
